Mike Mistretta

Mike is Director of Finance at Counsel Financial where works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller to provide detailed financial reporting, forecasting and analysis for the company. Prior to joining the team, he worked at Freed Maxick, a Buffalo accounting firm, where he specialized in corporate taxation, planning and compliance and due diligence projects. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of New York.

Mike holds a Master of Science degree in Forensic Accounting and also a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.

When not at work, Mike enjoys staying active by spending time at the indoor climbing gym, golfing and biking. He is also a music lover. He frequently attends live shows and plays the guitar.
