Megan Payne

Megan oversees underwriting and general operations of Counsel Financial. She reviews and analyzes new loan applications as well as manages the relationships with current clients. She also plays an important role in developing strategic marketing plans for the company. Prior to joining Counsel Financial, Megan was employed at M&T Bank as a credit analyst and commercial lender. She joined M&T as a member of their intensive Management Development Program—an exclusive training curriculum targeted at forthcoming business leaders.

She received a Masters of Business Administration from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Rochester. Megan was elected to join Phi Beta Kappa during the junior year of her undergraduate studies.

Megan lives in Clarence, New York with her husband and three children. She is very active in volunteering through her two youngest children’s school, St. Gregory the Great, co-chairing their annual Dinner Auction for 2016. Megan is also an active volunteer with the Mikey's Way Foundation, leading a development committee each year in planning one of the Foundation’s largest annual fundraisers.
