As the Chief Legal Officer at Counsel Financial, Kelly provides strategic legal advice to senior management. In her role, she is responsible for supervising outside counsel, managing all litigation-related matters, contract drafting and negotiation, maintaining the company’s intellectual property, as well as anticipating and resolving legal issues. In addition, she performs legal audits, conducts background research related to contingent fee litigation, and assists the company’s marketing team with editing and creating content.

Kelly received her Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where she was an editor of the Buffalo Journal of Gender, Law & Social Policy and served on the executive board of the Sports & Entertainment Law Student Association. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree, magna cum laude, in History from Saint Francis University (Loretto, PA). At Saint Francis, Kelly earned the school’s President Award for Political Science and History and Award for Outstanding Research. She was also a four-year starter for the University’s Division I soccer team, named as the school’s Scholar Athlete of the Year, selected to the CoSIDA / ESPN The Magazine’s Academic NCAA Division I All-District First Team, and named by the U.S. Achievement Academy as a Collegiate All-American Scholar.

Kelly lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and daughters. She loves reading, still enjoys playing soccer and participating in other outdoor activities, including running, hiking and swimming.

Kelly is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Georgia.
